The Internet Of Things
What is the first thing that comes into your mind when I say the word internet? Probably Google (since it’s our birthright to have it as our homepage), facebook or instagram or maybe any of the other gazillion social networks out there. But does are these the only things that ‘THE INTERNET’ has to offer? The answer to this question is a resounding NO.I mean internet is one of the greatest invention of the century. But for an average person well it’s limited to these social networks, but what we fail to realize is the true potential of the internet. It’s has much more to offer than stalking your ex and sharing video of a dancing cat. Now then coming to the point, the perfect example is something that’s called ‘THE INTERNET OF THINGS’.
Now what is this you ask? Well let’s start with a simple example, what is the one biggest problem we face in daily life?? Well it’s running out of milk (or eggs maybe) and not remembering to buy them. Let’s be honest it happens, a lot!!!
Imagine as soon as your milk runs out your refrigerator orders milk and you get it delivered on your doorstep. Another great example every morning you wake up, the curtains open, porch lights are turned off, maybe news and weather on T.V.(Yup I am basically describing J.A.R.V.I.S. from iron man it’s whole different concept of artificial intelligence, perhaps some other time). Now as impossible as may it sound it’s quite easily possible. If every device is connected to the internet and they can interact with each other than it’s possible. That is the idea behind the concept of internet of things. It’s to create a platform where every electronic device can interact with every other device through the internet. As unimpressive as it may sound every major player in tech has realized its potential. Samsung just announced that there every device will be IoT enabled by 2020.Google just bought NEST a US based thermostat brand which is being as a base for automation and wireless thermostat. It would be awesome to have all this but it has its own risks involved.
In its current form it has major security issues (well we have an ultron for every J.A.R.V.I.S.). If a hacker hacks into your network he can pretty much hack into every single device you own and your privacy can be compromised. Imagine someone in a different state controlling your porch lights that would be both very freaky and awesome at the same time. But every coin has 2 sides , this tech is in its very first phase as the R&D progresses this tech has the potential to change the world.
P.S.: This is my first time publishing on a public platform would love feedback positive or negative.Cheers!!

Great job..
